After retiring as President of Youngstown State University in Ohio, Les built two homes and ran for two political offices. The home outcomes were wonderful; the politics - - not so good.
With too much time to fantasize and embellish tales of the life of a university president, Les was urged by friends to write a novel incorporating all his steamy stories of love, lies and liaisons. Having always enjoyed writing, he accepted the challenge.
No, no, his books are not his memoirs. They do, however, reflect many of his characteristics and behaviors. For example, the university president in the story drinks Tanqueray martinis with three olives - - so does Les. He wears a red fedora to university football games - - so did Les.
After overcoming the hurdle of learning to write fiction, he is now having a wonderful time creating story after story with numerous episodes happening behind closed doors. Hmm . . . steamy? You decide.
